4/29/14: When setting up a Cybex E3 Monitor from a cable or satellite feed (not a Head End Unit) ensure there is a cable box with remote control. The E3 View (embedded PEM) will act as a TV Monitor when set to Channel 3 or Channel 4. A remote control for the cable or satellite box will be used to change the channels. This is common in most home environments.
Note: Verify the signal is set up to either Cable Std or Cable Air. This can be set by selecting: Toolbox > EPEM Setup > Channels > Signal
- If the E3 monitor is setup to IRC or Cable HRC, then the monitor may not pick up any channels.
- A channel scan on Cable Air will find some channels but not all the channels.
- Doing a channel scan on Cable Std will not find channels.
