Applies to: Atmos Home Treadmill, Cross-Trainer, Upright Bike, and Recumbent Bike — SE4 Console
The Life Fitness Connect app saves your workouts and builds your workout history on your phone. Signing in on the SE4 console is done by scanning a QR code. This article shows how to create a free account, scan the code with the app, save a workout when you finish, and fix a code that will not scan.
Read the steps below, or watch the short video.
Before you start
Download Life Fitness Connect from the App Store or Google Play and create a free account. You can sign up with an email address, or with your Google, Apple, or Facebook account. Make sure your equipment is connected to Wi-Fi, and that the console is awake — if the screen is dark, press STOP on a treadmill, or start pedaling on a cross-trainer or bike.
Signing in on the console
- Tap Log In on the console’s home screen. A QR code appears on screen.
- Open the Life Fitness Connect app on your phone.
- Tap the green button in the middle of the bottom bar, then choose the scan option.
- Point your phone at the QR code on the console. Hold it steady until it reads.
- Check the console. It signs you in and returns to the home screen with your account active.
- Work out as normal. When you finish, the app asks whether to save the workout — confirm, and it is added to your history.
| Sign in once and the console remembers your account for future workouts. You will not need to scan the code every time. |
What you get
- Your workouts saved automatically — time, distance, calories, and more, building into a history you can actually look back on.
- Your details filled in — your weight carries across, so calorie estimates are right without you entering it each time.
- Custom workouts built in the app, available on the console.
Troubleshooting
- The QR code will not scan. Move your phone closer or further back until it focuses, and try to avoid holding it at a sharp angle to the screen. Screen glare from a window or overhead light is a common culprit.
- Nothing happens after it scans. Check your equipment is connected to Wi-Fi — signing in needs an internet connection on the console, not just on your phone.
- My workout did not save. The app asks you to confirm at the end of a workout. If you left that dialog without confirming, the workout is not kept.
- Do I need to connect every time? No. Your equipment works perfectly well without it — sign in on the sessions you want recorded.
- Headphones and heart rate straps. Those connect separately under Settings, and are unaffected by whether you are signed in. See the Connecting Bluetooth Devices article.
Safety Sign in before you start your workout, and stow your phone on the reading rack or the charging shelf rather than holding it while you are exercising. |
