Manage User Roles & Permissions
Please note that roles & permissions are shared across all facilities for each user, so editing a user's role will mean they now have that role for all facilities they are associated to.
There are 4 roles a user can have within Facility Connect. Users are allowed to have multiple roles at the same time, although the role of Admin grants the same level of access as selecting all roles.
Admin
This is the highest role available within your Facility Connect account. This is a role often granted to facility managers and other similar personnel who should be granted access to all features.
Office Staff
This role should be granted to Office Staff and similar personnel who assist in managing the health of the equipment and console setting customizations.
Marketing
Manages all Content features. This role can upload and publish attract screens. They have the ability to enable and re-brand content libraries. They have access to upload and publish custom video content.
Maintenance
Manages all equipment and service tickets. This role can manage equipment and perform software updates. They can access to create new service tickets and view historical service tickets for all equipment within the facility.
Additional Access
Any user role can be granted additional permissions to do the following actions:
- Add/Edit Users
- Add/Edit Facilities
- Access the Facility Connect Marketplace (Currently known as Premium).
The below chart is a full list of all the permissions granted by each role as well as the additional access that can be granted.
Helpful Tips for Admins
- While tempting, we do not recommend making everyone admins in your facility. Instead, utilize the various roles to limit access to specific features.
- If your facility has multiple addresses (i.e. multiple buildings like a main gym and a separate cardio studio) we recommend setting up two separate facilities in Facility Connect.
