4/25/18: Analog straps will work on ICG Bikes, but they must be coded POLAR
or a Bluetooth
capable HR transmitter.
Polar Bluetooth Heart Rate transmitters can be purchased from a local or online exercise and fitness accessories retailer. Note: Life Fitness Analog Heart Rate straps are not 100% accurate and will fluctuate on ICG Bike Consoles.
Additional Information:
ICG TFT Console version 1.0 and 2.0 use the Bluetooth standard HR protocol and cannot connect with proprietary systems:
- Most HR chest belts have the Bluetooth standard HR protocol and are able to connect with TFT Consoles version 1.0 and 2.0. Note: Ensuring the HR Chest belt is not paired with a watch or other device as it likely may not pair with the TFT if this is the case. See the following article for more details
- Most HR wearables (arm band, watches, wrist bands) use a proprietary Bluetooth protocol and are not able to connect with TFT Consoles version 1.0 and 2.0.
- Some watches have performance data categories “packed” together in a proprietary Bluetooth set-up and are not able to connect with TFT Consoles version 1.0 and 2.0
- Some watches incorporate a separate HR BLE standard sensor and are able to connect with TFT Consoles version 1.0 and 2.0
Standard Protocol:
- Using a Standard BLE protocol, means other software / hardware systems should be able to establish communication with TFT Consoles version 1.0 and 2.0.
Proprietary Protocol:
- Using proprietary BLE protocol, means other software / hardware systems will not be able to communicate with TFT Consoles version 1.0 and 2.0.
