2/15/21: The ICG Bike Wattrate TFT console stays lit during start up and when performing a workout during pedaling as the rider's energy charges the LiPo battery (via the generator) during the workout. The Wattrate TFT computer consoles are found on ICG IC6, IC7, and IC8 bikes.
The Wattrate LCD computer however, found only on the IC5 bike, is powered by two "D" size batteries. The display is designed to timeout after approximately 4 - 5 seconds from pressing the light icon on the touch screen (bottom right), giving the user enough time to see their workout data while simultaneously saving valuable battery life. This display time of approximately 4 - 5 seconds is not adjustable and is designed this way.
