The foot pedal arms may come to rest in a forward or backward position on a Cybex Corded Arc Trainer caused by a user getting off in mid stride which may cause the unit to lock in position. To unlock the unit push one of the linkage rods from the front of the unit (shown below).
Note: Newer 600A and 610A Arc Trainers as well as current production 525, 627 and 772 Arc Trainers have software which runs the elevation motor forward at start up which will automatically unlock the machine.
