User overhead clearance on the Arc Trainer is calculated by adding a user's height to the max height on the Arc pedals.
At full incline, the max height on the pedals is about 19" off the ground. On average, the typical user will be tallest while the Arc is at rest (when the pedals are about 9" off the ground). A good rule of thumb is to recommend a clearance height of a user's height plus an additional 20" to 24"
Most standard exterior doors are 36" wide where an interior door may be 30". An Arc Trainer frame is 28" which can fit through a standard door frame, although sometimes it may require the arm assemblies to be taken off.
