Q: Can SYNRGY accessory storage frames (SYN-A) be used with SYNRGY functional/cable cores?
A: Yes, it is possible to use accessories storage frames with functional frames, however LF doesn’t currently promote this, and the configurator doesn’t support it. If such a configuration is desired, the ordering process will be manual.
There are several things to be aware of when considering this option:
- The mounting hole patterns in both frame types align with each other with the exception that accessories frame is shifted up by one position. This means the top-most hole in the accessories frame and bottom-most hole in the functional frame cannot be used. In most cases this isn’t much of an issue since the top and bottom-most holes aren’t generally used.
- The functional core must adhere to SYNRGY stability requirements (if not bolted down, must have proper ballast, or be a configuration that doesn’t require anchoring)
- The accessories frame has a deeper footprint, and so may prevent the entire unit from closer to the wall. If the unit requires ballast(s) the deeper accessories frame footprint will not affect positioning.
