Applies to: Atmos Home Treadmill — SL Console
A Goal + workout on your Atmos Home Treadmill with the SL console counts toward a distance, calorie, or climb goal instead of a time. This article shows how to choose your goal type, enter a target, set your weight, and track your progress during the workout — plus what to do if the console will not accept the number you want.
Read the steps below, or watch the short video.
Three kinds of goal
| Goal | What you are working toward |
| Distance | A set distance, from half a mile up to 30 miles. |
| Calories | A calorie total. Enter your weight accurately, since this is what the estimate is built on. |
| Climb | A total amount of vertical climbing, regardless of how far you travel. |
Setting it up
- Press GOAL + in the Workouts panel.
- Use the arrows to choose Distance, Calories, or Climb, then press ENTER.
- Enter your target and press ENTER. The console shows the allowed range on screen, so you can see what it will accept.
- Enter your weight and press ENTER.
- The console counts down from three, then the belt starts.
During your workout
Speed and incline stay under your control the whole way, and how you get to the goal is up to you — walk it, run it, or climb it. Your goal does not change once the workout has started, so pick something you are happy to be committed to.
Press COOL DOWN when you want to switch into cool down mode.
Troubleshooting
- I set the goal too high. Press STOP to end the workout and set it up again. The goal cannot be changed partway through.
- My calorie goal is counting up more slowly than expected. Calorie estimates depend on the weight you entered and how hard you are working. Check the weight, and add incline — climbing burns considerably more than walking flat at the same speed.
- The console will not accept my target. It is outside the allowed range. The range appears on the display when you reach the entry step.
Safety A goal is not a reason to keep going when something feels wrong. Press STOP if you feel dizzy, short of breath, or unwell, and clip the emergency stop cord to your clothing before every workout. |
