Applies to: Atmos Home Cross-Trainer, Upright Bike, and Recumbent Bike — SL Console
ErP Mode is the energy-saving sleep mode on your SL console. After a few minutes without use the display goes dark and the unit draws less than half a watt. The console looks completely off, and your equipment can seem like it will not turn on — this is normal and not a fault. This article shows how to wake it and how long that takes.
Read the steps below.
Waking it up
- Start pedaling. Moving the pedals is what wakes your equipment. There is no button to press and no power switch on the console.
- Give it up to 30 seconds to start up.
- Wait for the home screen, then set up your workout as normal.
Important If your equipment is not plugged into an external power supply, it powers off within five seconds of you stopping. That is deliberate — it preserves the battery. Just start pedaling again. |
Why it does this
Two reasons. It keeps standby power consumption to almost nothing, and on a self-powered unit it protects the battery so there is charge left when you next want to work out. See the article on keeping your console charged.
Troubleshooting
- Pedaling does not wake it. Keep going for a few minutes — the battery may be flat and needs charge before the display comes up. If there is still nothing, contact Customer Support Services.
- It shuts off the moment I stop pedaling. That is expected on a unit with no external power. Fit the optional power supply if you want the console to stay on between efforts.
- It goes dark while I am setting a workout up. Keep the pedals turning slowly while you set up, or fit the optional power supply.
Safety A dark console does not mean the equipment is unpowered. Unplug any external power supply before cleaning the unit or reaching underneath it. |
