Applies to: Atmos Home Cross-Trainer, Upright Bike, and Recumbent Bike — SE4 Console
ErP Mode is the energy-saving sleep mode on your SE4 console. After one to five minutes without use the touchscreen goes dark and the unit draws less than half a watt. The screen looks completely off, and your equipment can seem like it will not turn on — this is normal and not a fault. This article shows how to wake it and how to change the timer.
Read the steps below.
Waking it up
- Start pedaling. Moving the pedals wakes your equipment. Tapping the dark screen will not.
- Give it up to 90 seconds. The SE4 is a full touchscreen console and takes a while to start up. This is longer than you might expect, and it is normal.
- Wait for the home screen to appear, then set up your workout.
Changing how long it waits
You can set how many minutes of inactivity it takes before your equipment sleeps — anywhere from one to five.
- Tap the Language icon on the home screen.
- Tap the bottom of the Select Language screen: lower-left, lower-right, lower-left, lower-right.
- Go to Configuration, then Manager, and find ErP Mode.
- Choose the option you want, then exit. The setting saves automatically.
Troubleshooting
- Tapping the screen does nothing. It will not. The touchscreen is unpowered in ErP Mode — you have to move the pedals.
- It keeps sleeping before I have finished setting up. Raise the ErP Mode setting to five minutes using the steps above.
- It is slow to come back. Up to 90 seconds is expected. The console is starting up from a true low-power state, not resuming from standby.
- The screen stays dark completely. An SE4 console needs mains power. Check the power supply is connected and the outlet is live.
Safety A dark screen does not mean the equipment is unpowered. Unplug before cleaning the unit or reaching underneath it. |
