Applies to: Atmos Home Cross-Trainer — SE4 Console
Two workouts on your cross-trainer have no treadmill equivalent. Aerobics is a guided session that varies the muscles you use and the intensity as it goes. Reverse prompts you to switch between pedaling forward and backward. This article explains what each one does and what to expect while it runs.
Read the steps below.
The two workouts
| Workout | What it does |
| Aerobics | A guided workout that varies the muscles used and the intensity as it goes. |
| Reverse | Prompts you when to pedal forward and when to pedal backward. |
Starting one
- Tap Choose Workout on the home screen.
- Find Aerobics or Reverse in the workout list and tap it.
- Read the description, then tap Set Up Workout.
- Enter your details and tap Start.
Pedaling backward
Reverse asks you to change direction partway through, and the console prompts you each time. Pedaling backward works your muscles differently — more emphasis on the front of the thigh — which is the point of including it.
Important Slow to a near stop before changing direction, and hold the stationary handles as you do. Never turn to face backward — reversing means pedaling in the opposite direction while still facing the console. |
Troubleshooting
- Changing direction feels awkward. Slow right down first, then start the reverse motion gently. It gets easier with practice.
- I missed a prompt. No harm done — change when you notice, or keep going in the direction you are in. The workout continues either way.
- I cannot find these workouts. Available workouts vary by base and software version. If they are not listed, contact Customer Support Services.
Safety Hold the stationary handles when changing direction, and keep facing the console at all times. Stop if you feel dizzy, short of breath, or unwell. |
