Install Main Unit batteries
The main unit is used together with a puck on gym machines, which is equipped with a weight stack. The main unit is mounted on the top plate of the weight stack, with a free line of sight to a reflective sticker that is attached to a flat surface above the main unit. The reflective sticker is mandatory to attach on a suitable area inside the machine with a free line of sight to the main unit. The optical sensor shall move together with the weight stack in a straight line against the reflective sticker. There must be a free field of view, approximately +/- 10 degrees from the sensor against the reflective sticker. The maximum distance between the main unit in its lowest position and the reflective card at the top is 160cm/63 inches.
1. Locate the main unit and follow step 2 for placing the batteries. You should be able to remove the top cap of the main unit without removing it from the weight plate. However it is preloaded with Velcro tape. It is possible to remove the main unit to install the batteries and place it back on the Velco tape. If using this method, securely fasten the Velco connection.
Note: If the Velco connection becomes compromised where the main unit will not attach to the weight stack, you must follow Step 5 in these Insignia Kit Instructions to reinstall the main unit.

Note: Batteries are shipped taped to the Device Holder
3. Place the top of the main unit back into the case. Offset the top, and slide it the opposite way into place. You will hear it "click" into place. IMPORTANT: Make sure the top is fasten securely to the case. Give the top a gentle tug. If it comes off repeat the step and make sure you hear the "click"
4. If main unit was removed to add batteries, replace the main unit so the battery door/ top cover opens away from front of product - press and adhere it to the weight stack. The main unit is delivered with a protective plastic cover which must be removed after installation. The sensor window must be clean and dust free. It can be cleaned with a soft cloth if dirty.
